In June 2007 the Department for Children, School and Families set out aims to make the UK the best place in the world for children and young people to grow up in. A key element of delivering this vision, and part of the Children's Plan, is to ensure an excellent education for all our children and young people.

ONI believes that learning through ICT can enhance and enrich the curriculum as well as its ongoing assessment. ICT solutions offer new and exciting opportunities for pupils and teachers alike. With such a wide range of materials, teaching practices and equipment now available, the opportunities for effective use of ICT in schools are endless.

ONI has been working in the education sector for over 5 years amassing a wealth of experience and expertise which spans across the complete learning spectrum including primary and secondary schools and higher and further education establishments.

Our experience has ranged from single site IT solutions and one school pathfinders to complex campus wide unified communication solutions and Building Schools for Future (BSF) projects.

ONI is the leading Cisco BSF partner and is currently working on the implementation of our third BSF project. Our work within the Lewisham BSF is heralded as class leading and is an excellent example of how ONI has provided reliable, value for money IT infrastructure, wireless and unified communications solutions to benefit the schools within this pioneering London Borough.
