G-Cloud 11 comes into effect on 1st July 2019 and ONI is delighted to announce that we are an approved supplier for the eighth year running.
The G-Cloud Framework was first introduced in 2009 and forms a part of HM Government’s Digital Marketplace. The Digital Marketplace is an online service for public sector organisations to source people and technologies for digital transformation projects.
G-Cloud services are divided into three basic categories, or lots. Lot One is Cloud Hosting and comprises suppliers of IaaS or PaaS propositions; including content delivery, storage, computing and networking services. Lot Two is Cloud Software and comprises SaaS providers. Lot Three is Cloud Support and comprises managed and professional service providers, including technical support and cloud migration services.
ONI approved services include back-up and disaster recovery, unified communications, contact centre services and infrastructure-as-a-Service under Lot One. Public sector organisations also have access to our Assure Managed Services, Professional Services and Managed Security Services portfolios under Lot Three.
Investing in G-Cloud
We continue to invest in G-Cloud approval as we have a long-term commitment to the public sector. After all, it accounts for half of our customer base. Since its introduction, the Digital Marketplace has simplified public sector access to pre-approved suppliers of cloud services. In the eight years we’ve been a part of the framework agreement we have seen a steady rise in the number of public sector businesses opting for hybrid cloud environments and benefitting from the agility, availability and cost-efficiency of cloud services.
When it comes to critical public sector services and applications, reliability is a priority. Our commitment to 100% availability underpins our data centre and managed service portfolio; providing our customers with peace of mind that they will always have access to their data and applications. It’s what we call Business Assured.
ONI cloud services are used throughout the public sector by local and central government, healthcare, education and social housing organisations. Our agnostic approach to deployment means we support public sector infrastructure spanning on-premises equipment, collocated assets and multi-cloud environments; comprising elements of public and private cloud.
Cloud Services from ONI are delivered via a single orchestration platform, simplifying management and providing transparency of cost and utility. By eliminating complexity, we help our public sector clients reduce management overhead whilst providing essential data and analytics to support improved decision making.
All ONI solutions are backed by our 24/7 Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) and our Assure services include support, maintenance and managed service propositions, all delivered by our award-winning technical team.
